Our RUTA MACONDO tour in the Historic and Cultural Center of Cartagena is a circuit filled with anecdotes, lesser-known stories, and the places where Colombian Nobel Laureate in Literature Gabriel García Márquez worked, lived, and found inspiration for many of his works during his stay and intimate relationship with this city, which also holds his final resting place.
About the Tour
We walk through the charming narrow streets and plazas of beautiful Cartagena in approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes, making 10 important stops where around 26 iconic places are located—sites that inspired the magical realism of the author of "One Hundred Years of Solitude", "Love in the Time of Cholera", "The Story of a Shipwrecked Sailor", and "Of Love and Other Demons".
